New English Passports / UK Passports

English passports (UK passports) are issued by the Identity and Passport Service (IPS).  First-time adult passport applicants are required to contact the Identity and Passport Service (IPS) for a face-to-face interview as part of the new passport application process.  The Identity and Passport Service (IPS) can be contacted through their website, www.passport.gov.uk or you can call their Advice line on 0300 222 0000.  The Identity and Passport Service (IPS) recommends allowing 6 weeks for the processing of new passport applications.

Renewal English Passports / UK Passports

If you need to renew your passport urgently, the Identity and Passport Service (IPS) offers a 1 week Fast-Track service and a 1 day Premium service.  You must make an appointment for these services by contacting the Identity and Passport Service (IPS) on their Advice line on 0300 222 0000.

Lost or Stolen English Passport / UK Passport

Lost or stolen passports must be reported to the IPS. This will reduce the risk of anyone else using your passport or your identity. To report your passport lost or stolen, you should fill in and sign a Lost or Stolen (LS01) Notification form and return it to IPS. If your passport was lost or stolen while outside of the UK, you should report the theft or loss to the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) embassy, consulate or high commission of the country you are in.
